COMMERCIAL CABINET RFQ CHECKLIST

Prepare a clearer custom stainless cabinet RFQ.

Use this checklist to define the application, size, configuration, interfaces, quantity, packing and quotation scope. A clear RFQ reduces assumptions; it does not replace the approved drawing or local project review.

Separate known requirements from items still to be confirmed.

Do not guess material, thickness, sink openings or installation details. State what is known, mark unknown items as pending and identify which drawing or cabinet schedule is current. Tianze can then return specific questions and a quotation tied to a written scope.

Eight inputs that make the request usable

Use one row per cabinet or clearly label repeated configurations.

1 · ApplicationRoom, workflow, food-contact status, cleaning method and intended stored items
2 · Unit typeBase, wall, tall, sliding-door, hinged-door, drawer, open shelf, sink cabinet or mixed
3 · DimensionsWidth × depth × height, splashback, clearances, doorway and site access limits
4 · ConfigurationDoor count and direction, drawers, shelves, legs, castors, plinths and service openings
5 · MaterialRequested grade, component coverage, nominal thickness and finish—or mark pending
6 · InterfacesSink, waste, tap, plumbing, electrical and adjacent-equipment boundaries
7 · OrderQuantity by item, target approval timing and any inspection or documentation request
8 · Commercial scopeDestination city, packing needs, requested Incoterm and costs that must remain separate

Details that should not remain implicit

Missing information can change construction, price, packing or responsibility.

01

Component coverage

State whether the same material requirement applies to the benchtop, body, shelves, drawers, back and internal components.

02

Service boundaries

Identify who supplies taps, wastes, traps, valves, power points and local connection work.

03

Site constraints

Record doorway, lift, stair, wall, floor and installation-access restrictions that affect unit or package size.

04

Commercial exclusions

Keep freight, duty, tax, destination handling and local installation separate unless expressly included.

Are rough dimensions enough to request a quotation?

They are enough for a preliminary scope review. The final quotation must identify the dimensions, drawing revision and unresolved items that govern production.

What should I do if plumbing or equipment interfaces are not final?

Mark each unknown item as to be confirmed and state who will confirm it. Do not leave sink, waste, tap, electrical or adjacent-equipment boundaries implicit.

Which document controls production?

The approved drawing, written specification and accepted quotation together define the order scope. Any conflict or later change should be resolved in writing before production.

Should the RFQ ask for a landed price?

Only request the Incoterm and cost scope you need. Freight, duty, tax, destination handling and local installation should remain separate unless the quotation expressly includes them.

Does completing this checklist confirm Australian compliance?

No. The checklist helps define the product and quotation. The buyer and local project team remain responsible for identifying applicable food, plumbing, building and installation requirements.

Technical reference points 4 verified external sources

These sources frame buyer-side specification questions. They do not state that a Tianze product is certified or compliant; final requirements are confirmed for each order.

  1. ISO 15510:2014 — stainless steel chemical compositionsMaterial-grade reference used when the ordered stainless grade is specified and verified.
  2. FSANZ — Safe Food Australia and Standard 3.2.3 guidanceOfficial buyer-side context for cleanability, suitable materials, access around equipment and food-premises fitout decisions.
  3. ABCB WaterMark — plumbing and drainage product schemeOfficial scope reference for plumbing or drainage products connected to sink-cabinet projects; the cabinet body alone does not establish WaterMark scope.
  4. Australian DAFF — ISPM 15 solid timber packaging requirementsOfficial import reference when solid timber pallets, crates, blocking or dunnage are used for the shipment.
